Tamil Nadu Minister for Environment, Mariam Pichai was killed in road mishap near Trichy. He was on the way to Chennai to attend MLAs swearing in ceremony with Sports Ministser NR Shivapathy. While their car coming near Samayapuram, a lorry hit the car. Minister Mariam Pichai was killed on the spot, while Minister Shivapathy was injured. He was taken to the hospital.
